German Travel Brochures 1936 Munich Alps
Item: GM1243

You are purchasing two original 1930's travel brochures one for the Munich and Bavarian Alps region of Germany and the other on German customs and culture.  These were printed in Germany by the RDV, "Reichsbahnzentrale fur den Deutschen Reiseverkehr" to promote tourism in Germany.  Both have English text.  Both brochures have an advertisement for the 1936 Olympic games on the back side of the front cover. These give a great inside view of Germany just a few years before the out break of war.  Brochures are folded properly.  The Types and Customs brochure has a tear along the binding.  These are from a collection of maps, brochures, and translation guides I acquired from the estate of a WWII army officer who was a linguist during the war.  All of the collection has been in storage since 1946.
